Manuscript Guidelines
  1. Manuscripts must be submitted in English. Submitted manuscripts may be rejected if they do not conform to standard English usage. Individuals who do not use English as their primary language are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a colleague who is fluent in English before submitting to the journal.
  1. Manuscripts submitted will be judged primarily on their substantive content, but writing style, structure, and length are also very important considerations. Poor presentation and organization are enough reasons for rejection of a manuscript. Prior to submitting a manuscript, authors should consider the contribution-to-length ratio and ask themselves: "Is the paper long enough to cover the subject while concise enough to maintain the reader’s interest?", as manuscripts will be first evaluated by the editor for this criterion. Aim to submit manuscripts that are written as simply and concisely as possible.
  1. Papers should be no longer than 40 double-spaced pages (using one-inch margins and Times New Roman 12-point font), exclusive of references, tables, figures, and appendices. However, we recognize, that in rare circumstances, papers intended to make very extensive contributions, may require additional space. Authors should follow the 7th edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA) in preparing the manuscript. Author’s names should not appear anywhere in the manuscript. A cover sheet listing the manuscript title and the order of authors and the corresponding author’s name, email address, and phone number should be included. In addition, information regarding each author’s institution and research interests should be included for all co-authors.
  1. Manuscripts must not be submitted to another journal while they are under review by the International Journal of Business in Sports, Tourism & Hospitality Management, nor should they have been previously published. Manuscripts submitted to JBSM undergo double-Blind review. The review process generally takes approximately 10-12 weeks. Author should submit a full paper online through jbsm.submission@gmail.com
  1. Manuscripts will be evaluated in terms of topical relevance, theoretical and methodological adequacy, and clarity of explanation and analysis. Authors should be prepared to provide the data and/or research instrument(s) on which the manuscript is based for examination if requested by the editor. Comments from reviewers concerning manuscripts, along with the editorial decision, will be made available to authors after the manuscript has been reviewed.
  1. Authors are required to transfer copyright to Library & Book Publishing, publisher of JBSM once the manuscripts are accepted. Any unethical behavior is unacceptable. Any form of plagiarism is prohibited. Authors submitting articles to JBSM affirm that manuscript contents are original. If any authorship disputes arise, JBSM encourages editorial teams to follow the Cope guidelines.
