JBSM permits self-archiving and is fully transparent about the author’s rights. JBSM does not require authors of original research papers to assign the copyright of their published contributions.

JBSM allows the self-archiving of accepted and published papers through open access policy before and after the publication of an article in JBSM. Without requesting permission from the journal or publisher, authors are free to preserve pre- and post-print copies of their scholarly work as well as the publisher's version in PDF format at any time. As long as they also deposit the URL of their published article, in addition to the PDF version, and correctly cite the journal name and CSRC Publishing as publisher along with other citation details, authors can also make their published article publicly available right away after publication to various repositories, libraries, or personal websites without needing any permission.
