About Us
Established in 2000, the Global Academic-Industrial Society (GAIS) is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing high-quality scholarship and fostering meaningful collaboration between academia and industry. Founded by scholars representing more than 20 countries, GAIS serves as a global platform for researchers, educators, and professionals to exchange knowledge, share innovations, and develop solutions to complex challenges through interdisciplinary dialogue.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote interdisciplinary research, facilitate international collaboration, and bridge the gap between academic inquiry and professional practice. GAIS is committed to cultivating inclusive scholarly communities, supporting the dissemination of impactful research, and creating opportunities for partnerships that contribute to sustainable global development.
Global Conferences and Collaborative Engagement
GAIS organizes international joint conferences designed to encourage cross-disciplinary exchange and strengthen academic–industry partnerships. Our inaugural conference, held in Tokyo in 2017, welcomed nearly 250 delegates from over 40 countries. Building on this success, our 2019 conference at Waseda University in Tokyo attracted more than 425 participants. These gatherings provide dynamic forums for presenting research, fostering innovation, and building lasting professional networks across cultures, disciplines, and industries.
